"Lead Sheets..."

The Skill of Developing the “Vision” by Marti Miller

“Develop the vision together... big things happen when you do little things right!”

1. Commit to a big goal.

Where do you want to be five years from now?
Why are you doing this?
What's in the way?
What are you afraid of?
What would happen if you knew you couldn't fail?

2. Build your action plan.

Write down the things you think are important, so that you can implement them into your daily life.
Build fun into your plan.
Map out your big steps.
Organize your little steps.
What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?

3. Act on your plan.

Set your plan in motion.
Tap into personal creativity.
Tap into collective creativity.
What would happen if you knew you couldn't fail?

4. Persevere, persevere, persevere.

Never give up.
Manage perfectionism.
Learn to lighten up while raising the standard.
Set and meet deadlines, personally and as a team.
Find your help in all the right places. Ask for support.
Envision yourself crossing the finish line.
See yourself as part of the solution. Focus on the solution, not the problem.
What would happen if you knew you couldn't fail?

5. Build your success.

Build by listening, trusting, uplifting others, maintaining humility, having fun, embracing responsibility and accountability, gaining the cooperation of others, and putting their needs above your own.
Show up differently.
Be there 200%, 100% of the time.
Challenge each other to be your personal best.
Create a new name for yourself. How do you want to create

Leadership Lesson

Get ready to enjoy growing and learning with each other. Challenge yourself to build strong relationships with each other. Use your partnerships to help each other become leaders in every sense of the word. Stay connected by staying in contact with each other.

Choose confidence, faith and trust in each other. Challenge each other to choose your attitude. Involve yourself in the success of this association. Provide motivation for each other. Learn from each other and promote group learning through the sharing of information. Those we are closest to, tend to change us.

Plan to succeed! The possibility of failure exists and must be risked by anyone who is learning to lead. Support each other during the down times as well as the good times. Persist with faith and help others to hold on to their own faith.

Start today to choose excellence, kindness and integrity. Make those your guideposts.

Demonstrate appreciation and encouragement at every opportunity. Basic communication skills and respect for each other are at the heart of good human relationships.

Encourage others to “Tell you something good!” about the things that are important to them. Stories that touch our lives are sometimes the best teaching tools. Share your own story.

Look for ways to make a difference in the lives of others. Make others feel important. Don't belittle them. Find ways to uplift others.

Remember, we gain what we want through the help and support of others.

Develop a deep desire to learn and master the principles of human relations.
